Things that don't fit a case study but say something about how I work.

2019 – 2023

The804Store

My first business: a Richmond clothing boutique I founded and ran alone. Brand, social, event partnerships, vendors, and an inventory system I built. It changed shape a few times in four years. Three of the setups:

01 the pop-up: a table and two racks
  2. A corner shop setup with cubbies of folded clothes, a rack of jackets, and string lights under The804Store sign
02 a corner of its own, string lights included
  3. A full store floor with rows of jacket racks and shoes under blue accent lighting

first job

Tutoring writing at Brightpoint Community College. Students brought me drafts they were stuck inside. I've been helping people say what they mean ever since.

under my own name

Most of what I write goes out under other people's bylines. These two don't.

a rule i keep

I'd rather earn attention than rent it. The growth I'm proudest of came out of writing and search, not ad budgets.
